What is coaching?

Coaching concentrates on where you are now and what you are willing to do to get where you want to be in the future. Coaching accelerates progress by providing greater focus and awareness of possibilities, allowing you to make more effective choices.

By looking at every facet of your experience – from career and finances to relationships and self-expression – together we find new and effective ways to maximize your creativity, success, and fulfillment. Take a moment to reflect on these questions:

What is the process?

Coaching begins with a personal interview which typically lasts two to three hours. During our focused time together, we assess where you are now, where you want to be, and what route we are going to take to get you there. This includes a thorough discussion of your current opportunities and challenges, core values, key areas of focus, and desired outcomes of coaching.

Subsequent coaching sessions may be conducted in-person or over the telephone, with each session lasting 30-60 minutes, depending upon the coaching agreement. Between scheduled coaching sessions, you may be asked to complete specific actions or assignments that support the achievement of your personally-prioritized goals.

How long does it take?

The duration of the coaching relationship varies depending on your personal needs and preferences. For certain types of focused coaching (often related to a specific project or issue), three to six months may be sufficient. For other types of coaching, you may find an extended period or ongoing relationship more beneficial.

How much does it cost?

Working with a coach requires both a personal commitment of time and energy as well as a financial commitment. I offer a variety of coaching packages and pricing structures, including a sliding scale.
